Job Description:
VMware, a pioneer in virtualization software for industry-standard computers, is seeking QE engineers with a proven track record for delivering high quality software products. As a QE Engineer, you will be responsible for testing of all Networking related features in VMware Products. This includes systems administration along with test design, implementation, execution, debugging, testing automation and input to feature design. You will work closely with developers to help ship products with very high quality, with rich features and focusing on customer usage and needs.
Responsibilities:
o Work with team of Engineers in various technologies like VLAN, IPv4/v6, TCP, UDP, Networking LAN/SDN design, configuration and setup and apply the knowledge to virtualizing them.
o Troubleshoot/Triage/Debug system software like device drivers and kernel modules using kernel debuggers and fixing the problems.
o Work on complex system software problems that often involve conducting primary research by running self-directed and precise experiments on multiple VMware platforms and operating systems such as Windows and Linux
Job Requirements
o Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
o In knowledge of testing methodology and automation testing.
o In knowledge of network technologies (VLAN, IPv4/v6, TCP, UDP) .
o Python, Perl programming skill.
o In knowledge of Linux/ Unix operating systems.
o Good verbal and written English skills

o Profile and optimize software performance
o Communicate and coordinate with global R&D teams for cross team features or issues
o Ship high quality product and support millions of customer around the world
Requirements:
o C/C++ on Windows, Linux or Objective C on macOS is a must-have
o Knowledge and experience with virtualization is a plus
o Knowledge and experience with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
o Excellent written and good verbal communication skills in English
o Quick learning, creative thinking and strong analytical skills
o BSCS, MSCS or equivalent Pluses
