Chinese image aesthetics boasts a long history, in which Chinese painting and poetry is especially time-honored. This aesthetics strives to convey the implication beyond the finite description, which differentiates this aesthetics from the western aesthetics. This characteristic would need enough attrention and concern if we want to inherit and promote Chinese culture of art design actually. In jewelry art, there are few researches on Chinese image aesthetics. Therefore, based on the theoretical research of Chinese image aesthetics, this research uses specific case to explore how to naturally expresss the beauty of Chinese artistic image through jewellry design. In conclusion, two design ideas were puts forward as follows: fusion design of abstract image and virtual and true image design of concrete scene. Hopefully, this research could bring a new style for the development of unique contemporary Chinese jewelry art. Meanwhile, by applying the idea of fusion design of abstract image, the author designed a jewelry named Flying Dancing in Sky with Dunhuang Flying as the design element so as to put the research conclusion into practice.
