ADAS Component Engineer

Brief description of the position/ Range of responsibility:

• Scope of this position is to ensure mechanical design of ADAS ECU & sensor package/bracket to be reliable and robust to implement in VW vehicles.

Key Tasks:

• Be responsible for design and development of the package / bracket for ADAS ECU & sensors with the experience in mechanical design Knowledge of materials and mechanics of materials (i.e., stress strain curves, endurance limits, coefficient of thermal expansion etc.)
• Camera integration in complete vehicle level and installation evaluation with 3D and 2D CAD drawing in CATIA
• Be responsible for FEA (finite element analysis) for thermal and force analysis
• Formulate product DV/PV plans, monitor suppliers to complete testing and review test result.
• Lead the release reviews including mechanical review, DFMEA and PFMEA
• Responsible for manufacturing, industrialization, and quality control with the knowledge of GDNT tolerancing as well as six sigma modeling (Cp, Cpk, Z etc.) skill
• Quality issue analysis and investigation. To find out root cause and verify solutions.
• To do benchmark and support cost reduction actions.
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor or Master degree in automotive / electrical / computational engineering or similar
• Familiar with optical principles, image processing pipeline, key performance parameters of cameras and camera testing methods.
• Familiar with ADAS TV Camera calibration principle
• Familiar with the layout specifications of the camera, skilled use of CATIA and KVS is preferred.
• Experience in hardware and visual development is preferred.
• Experience in ADAS component fault trace is preferred.
• Experience with VW EE components DV/PV test scope and method as a plus
• Project management knowledge as a plus
