Transport Management

Brief description of the position/Range of responsibility：

• Planning and managing the transportation capacity and demand, as well as supervising the SP's daily operation, to make sure the vehicles can be transported to destination timely and safely. Meanwhile, conduction continuous optimization on transport procedure/KPI/SOP/cost, etc. 

Key tasks:

• Operation planning according to monthly & yearly sales volume, as well as aligning with transportation Service Provider (SP) and Warehouse Manager.
• Organizing and monitoring SP's daily operation, dealing with urgent transportation needs from Sales side, complains from Agents, and transport damages.
• Conducting regularly meeting with SP, incl. KPI evaluation and related improvement measures and best practice.
• Continuous optimization on transportation operation procedure/SOP/KPI and cost.
• Cooperation on tasks related to repair, rework, recall/stop order, etc.;
• Supporting Logistics Planning on optimal transportation mode ratio, transport route and other process optimization measures. 
• Working together with Logistics Planning on transportation service bidding: preparing RFQ (and RFI if needed) documents of bidding; coordination with other VW entities for potential joint purchasing.
• Fulfilling ECMS responsibilities by governments, VGC, DSSO and other assignments by Head of Outbound Logistics
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
• Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Qualification and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or the equivalent of experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Automotive industry logistics/transportation management experience preferred;
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Professional in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Quick learning
• Excellent communication skill
• Profound organizing and analysis skills
